At Generational, our general dentistry services form the cornerstone of your oral health care. We focus on prevention, early detection, and effective treatment to help you maintain a healthy, confident smile at every stage of life.
From routine check-ups and professional cleans to fillings, gum care, and more, our experienced team is here to provide personalised care tailored to your needs. We take a gentle, patient-first approach, aiming to make every visit comfortable, informative, and stress-free.
Whether you’re coming in for your regular exam or addressing a specific concern, our goal is to help you achieve and maintain strong teeth and gums for years to come.
Your dental examination involves an x-ray (usually recommended every two years), allowing us to detect issues between the teeth and beneath the gums, areas not visible to the naked eye.
Following the assessment, we carefully remove plaque and tartar using an ultrasonic scaler to eliminate harmful bacteria then finish with polishing paste to remove stains. To help you maintain that clean, fresh feeling between visits, we’ll also create a personalised home care routine tailored to your needs.
At Generational, we’re committed to supporting the long-term oral health of you and your family. As part of this dedication, we offer a comprehensive range of preventative and general treatments tailored to your needs.
Our goal is to detect potential issues early, or prevent them altogether, helping you avoid more serious health concerns and costly treatments down the line.
Root canal therapy, commonly referred to as endodontic treatment, is designed to relieve pain and save a natural tooth that might otherwise need to be extracted. There’s truly no better replacement for chewing than your own tooth. Thanks to local anaesthesia, the procedure is typically painless or causes only minimal discomfort.
The treatment involves removing infected or inflamed pulp tissue from inside the tooth. This condition often arises when bacteria enter through decay, cracks, or trauma to the tooth. Symptoms may include sensitivity to hot or cold, persistent toothache, discomfort when chewing, or swelling.
Using specialized instruments, the inflamed pulp is carefully cleaned out, and a medicated material is placed inside the tooth to eliminate bacteria. This medication generally remains in place for 2–4 weeks and may require 2–3 appointments, depending on the severity of the infection. Once symptoms have fully resolved, the root canals are filled with a durable material to reinforce the tooth. In many cases, a crown is recommended afterward to provide additional strength and protection, helping prevent future infection.
